1.     Inilah di antara perkara utama yang menentukan pencapaian usahawan MLM. Tanpa buku senarai prospek, banyak kerja sukar dijalankan.

 

2.     Dapatkan satu buku alamat bersaiz kecil yang boleh dibawa didalam poket bersama ke mana sahaja. Bila sahaja bertemu dengan kenalan baru di sesuatu majlis atau program, di pasaraya, di taman rekreasi, sedang berbaris untuk berbagai urusan; catatkan nama dan nombor telefon mereka.

 

3.     Jika sebulan secara purata terdapat tambahan 5 nama (minimum), bermakna setahun telah terdapat seramai 60 orang. Jika usahaman yang aktif, bilangan pasti lebih ramai lagi.

 

4.     Dari buku senarai prospek ini, usahawan MLM menentukan siapa yang mereka akan temui pada setiap hari. Mereka akan menelefon prospek untuk menentukan hari dan masa yang sesuai untuk membincangkan peluang pendapatan tambahan (side income) atau produk kesihatan yang mereka perlukan.

 

5.     Setelah beberapa tahun, pasti senarai nama prospek semakin ramai. Usahawan MLM yang gigih dan sabar serta memahami perniagaan yang dijalankan pasti mencapai kejayaan dalam masa yang terdekat.

 

6.     Dari bilangan nama prospek yang tertulis, setiap usahawan MLM boleh menilai dan membuat refleksi segala usaha, tenaga, masa dan pengorbanan yang telah mereka berikan untuk mencapai bonus bulanan yang mereka mahukan.

 

7.     Bilangan nama dalam senarai nama prospek menggambarkan pengalaman sebagai usahawan usahawan MLM yang tekun memberi sumbangan kepada sesama manusia. Usaha yang mengandungi segala kebaikan ini, pasti akan memperolehi hasil.

JOE GIRARD’S 13 RULES TO SUCCESS!

  1. HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE; hang around with positive people, stay away from cry babies and complainers, because they will pull you down to their level.  If something isn’t going right in your life, keep it to yourself, no one wants to hear your problems, make people believe you are having a wonderful time.
     
  2. ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE; keep an appointment book so that you don’t have to use the words that sicken me: “I FORGOT.”  At the end of each day, meditate upon what you did  or did not do, so you can become stronger for tomorrow.  Plan your work for the next day.  If you know where you are going you will get there.  If you don’t, you are LOST!
     
  3. WORK WHEN YOU WORK; don’t take long lunch hours, and only eat with people who can help your cause, not with other salespeople.  Do not sneak out of work early, if you do you are a LOSER.
     
  4. OBSERVE GIRARD’S NO-NOs; No smoking or chewing tobacco, no gum, no colognes, no profanity, no dirty jokes, no alcohol breath, and men do not wear earrings when you are working.  Turn off cell phones – they’re irritating.  The biggest killer of them all is NOT BEING ON TIME.
     
  5. DRESS THE PART; what kind of people are you dealing with.  If you are selling to blue collar workers, don’t wear $500 suits and expensive shoes, jewelry or watches (it’s a big distraction).  Wear it on your own time, not when you’re working – clothes can turn people off.
     
  6. LISTEN!  People can tell if you’re not listening.  The longer you listen, the more obligated people will feel towards you.  The more you listen, the more likely a customer is going to do business with you.  Listening shows that you care.  “The mouth should only be used for eating – keep your mouth shut!”  Silence is Golden.
     
  7. SMILE!  A smile increases your face value.  If people would smile more, your customers would feel better and want to do business with you, plus it’s great for your health!
     
  8. RETURN ALL PHONE CALLS & EMAILS; not returning calls or emails are a way to lose customers and friends.  Return your calls and emails as soon as possible.  If you don’t, that’s a good way to burn a bridge!
     
  9. TELL THE TRUTH; if you get caught in a lie even once, you will always be a liar.  Even if you tell the truth for the rest of your life, you won’t be trusted or believed, consider yourself DEAD.
     
  10. DON’T OVERCHARGE; if you do, and the customer compares your deal with somebody else, you have lost him.  Take a little and leave a little; Joe only worked on a small profit, but he was heavy on volume, averaging six retail automobile sales a day.  Word of mouth got around that YOU CAN’T BEAT JOE GIRARD’S PRICE.
     
  11. STAND IN FRONT OF YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICES; not behind.  The most important thing to do for your customer is SERVICE them, and they will do business with you over and over again. This is what made JOE #1 IN THE WORLD.
     
  12. LOCK UP EVERY SALE; after you have closed the sale, ask your customers why they bought from you – if they tell you why, they are reinforcing their trust in you.  Therefore no more buyers’ remorse, MEANING NO MORE CANCELLATIONS.
     
  13. REWARD YOURSELF; treat yourself well for all the smart work you have done; YOU DESERVE IT!

2. How you can do something different or reverse this if you’re
already using techniques and achieve the results for you and your
team by adopting a different approach called the Natural Selling
Approach.
   
Each day, for 7 days, you will receive an email with a lesson and
also some short exercises to illustrate the lesson.  You’re
encouraged you to complete those exercises.  They will help you
“absorb and understand” the ideas and concepts that are written
here.
   
OK, let’s begin!
   
Lesson #1
   
The Way You Think and Communicate Will Determine The Way People
Respond To You
   
Ask yourself this.  What is the greatest fear you might have that
could hold you back from talking with people about your income
opportunity or products?
   
If you are like most it will be the fear of rejection and
objections and the anxiety that comes with that.
   
Two Types of Rejection
   
There are two types of rejection;
   
1. The flat in your face “Not interested” or “You must be joking”
type of rejection; and
2. The type where someone has looked at your solution and finds
it doesn’t really fit what they need.
   
The second one can be disappointing but it doesn’t necessarily
feel personal.  So this training program is about item 1 and
understanding the cause of rejection and how to eliminate it by
getting rid of the cause and replacing it with something entirely
different.
   
The Cause of Rejection
   
Have you considered that if you do have feelings of anxiety about
talking with people about your Income Opportunity and/or
Products…it could be the way you have chosen to communicate, or
think you have to communicate, that is causing this?
   
Life is full of choices and what you choose to think, say or do,
will reflect how other people will think, say or do in response
to you.
   
Let’s start by exploring closely the underlying causes of
rejection and objections.
   
This is a better approach than just launching off by telling you
what you should do. If we did this, then would you agree that
this training approach would not be any different than all the
standard ones that tell you what to do using techniques and
systems without any explanation as to why?
   
Besides, if you understand the cause of a problem first, you’re
now in a better position to think and do something different that
will eliminate it.
   
2 key things to grasp:
   
1. People do things for their reasons not yours. They are
motivated by their personal interest and own subjective reasons.
You may have heard this referred to as the “What’s In It For Me?”
syndrome; and
   
2. Most people resist being “told” what to do (even if they ask
you!) or being persuaded to do things, and generally like to
learn and understand before taking action on changing anything.
   
So it’s important when you hear someone express a problem or
need, want or desire, such as a need for money or good health,
that you’re not tempted to launch in with a “fire hose”
presentation before talking about and discovering why they want
it and the history behind how they came to be in these
situations.
   
There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” presentation that
basically “tells” a person what our solutions are and what they
can do for them.
   
We are all unique in how we see, hear and feel about things. If
you take the one size fits all view, (usually your view) then
rejection and objections is usually the natural consequence of
that.
   
The truth is, it doesn’t matter much what you think about your
solutions and whether they are going to work for someone.  What’s
important is what the other person thinks.
   
So if you start your conversations by overpowering people and
coming up with your solutions too early, most people will
withdraw.  Then you have to resort to using conventional selling
techniques of objection handling, closing and mental strategies
to overcome the rejection you created in the first place! It also
makes selling a “numbers game” of plowing through as many people
as you can that requires a great deal of effort and time.
   
So it’s important to help people surface what they know and don’t
know and what they want by allowing them to come to their own
conclusions.
   
Observe your own experiences.  Have you ever been in a situation
where you asked someone for a solution to a problem and they
started with the words, “You know what you should do…?”  Did
you feel resentful or annoyed, even though you asked for help?
   
If you did, it’s probably because you didn’t feel involved and
your own uniqueness and knowledge was not being acknowledged.
It’s the same for most people.
   
People like to do things for their reasons not yours!
   
The Natural Law of Giving
   
The Law of Giving works like this. What you give is what you get.
   
Other people’s actions and words are a reflection of your actions
and words. It’s like a smile. If you smile at someone they will
usually smile back. This is the Law of Giving working for you.
   
However, this natural law can work against you if you put
pressure on others by telling, presenting or persuading people to
do things you want them to do. Result? Most people will tell you
back! How? By one or more of three ways:
   
1. Rejection
2. Objections
3. Passive Aggression. (When people say they will do something
and don’t!) This is also called “Buyers Remorse”.
   
In selling, if you want the Law of Giving to work for you and
have people listen to you and your solutions, then listen with
the intent to understand them first.

and customers with effortless ease based on solid principles and

1. Reflect on how you feel when a salesperson, charity solicitor
or telemarketer tries to get you to do something.
   
2. Think about your reaction when you see an advertisement on TV
or in print.  If you paid attention to it, why is that?

   “Well, then I have to ask you another question. How
    much time to you spend each week looking for it?”

Clerk:

   “I didn’t even know I should be looking.”

Jim Rohn:

   “Well, when you decide to start looking, here is my
    card, give me a call.”

Please notice there are two things happening here.

   #1. You create an instant prospect.

   #2. You upgraded your prospect from an ordinary
       prospect who would have just wanted to earn
       a part-time income … to a potential leader
       who wanted to create a lifetime opportunity.
       Neat, eh?

You could send them to a website, give them your
business card, invite them on a tele-conference,
load them a DVD … lots of options.

I was at a restaurant in Charleroi, Belgium with my friend,
Jean-Philippe. After ordering our drinks, Jean-Philippe
asks the waiter:

   “Are you married to your job or are you open-minded?”

Everyone wants to be considered as having an open mind,
so the waiter responds:

   “Yes, of course I am open-minded. You know, this
    job doesn’t pay enough for me.”
   
Jean-Philippe gives the waiter his card and casually says:

   “We’ll talk later.”
   
This opening sentence opens the door for you. Not only
will the prospect be more receptive to hearing a presentation,
your prospect will also try to give your presentation a fair
hearing.

What more can you ask for?

Simple sentences and questions like this will build
your business. Network marketing leaders work hard on
perfecting these sentences and questions.

Later in the day, Jean-Philippe and I were back at the
same restaurant. The waiter was still working. He was
supposed to get off work hours earlier. And he was busy.

In fact, he was the only waiter and the restaurant was
was very crowded.

When the waiter sees Jean-Philippe, he smiles. He knows
he wants to talk to Jean-Philippe. He is motivated.

So what do you do next?

You could set an appointment to talk to the waiter
when he gets off work. You could give the waiter your
card and tell him you will call later.

Or, you could invite the waiter to a conference call,
an opportunity meeting, or even set an appointment
to visit with your sponsor in person or via a
three-way call.

Maybe you could just give the waiter a CD to listen
to on his way home.

Or, just give the waiter your “One-Minute Presentation”
– and then if he was interested, you could talk more
when the waiter had a break.
